Dubai: 26 February 2007: du, the new telecommunication operator in the UAE supported the recently held Capacity Middle East & North Africa 2007 Congress, as a platinum sponsor. The carrier-focused event held at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, on 26 and 27 February provided a platform for representatives from international and regional telecommunications companies to discuss strategic domestic and international wholesale telecommunications market opportunities.

Osman Sultan, Chief Executive Officer of du delivered the key note speech at the forum. Also representing du was Mahesh Jaishankar, Director, Business Development and Marketing Carrier Services, who participated in a panel discussion on key drivers of capacity demand in the Middle East and North Africa wholesale telecom markets.

Announcing du's latest offering - Virtual Voice Network (VVN), at the conference, Osman Sultan, CEO of du, outlined du's strategy of seeking opportunities to provide the latest in telecommunications technology regionally.
